outlook express emails lost -please help !

I updated my windows xp dell with a VISTA HOME PREMIUM UPGRADE without
backing up my old system.I have managed to recover my documents etc but
cannot figure out how to retrive my old emails in outlook .
Please help if you can !

Look for files with a .dbx extension. Usually in a folder labeled
Identities.

Vista upgrades will put all old data files in a folder named Windows.old.
Someone who still has OE can give you the complete path.

You mention both Outlook and Outlook Express. Two entirely different
programs. Which?

Hi ,
Outlook express !
I have managed to find my dbx files by doing a dbx search and put them in a
folder .But I am still having trouble restoring my old email.

I also saved my emails in outlook from express so if there is a better waqy
to get it back from there it would be usefull.
