unable to send emails to aol email addresses

I use windows mail. For three days now I have been unable to send emails to
anyone who has an email address with the @aol.com extension. Every one of
them comes back with a failed delivery notification. These are addresses
that I send to almost daily. These aol users are able to send me emails but
I am unable to even reply to them. Any suggestions?

Chances are, the reason for non-delivery is spelled out in that 'failed
delivery notification'. If you need help interpreting what it says, post
one of those notices here.

Gary - Thank you for your help. The rejected notice comes back saying: This
is an automatically generated delivery status notification. Delivery to the
following recipients permanently failed. Then it lists the aol email address
that was rejected.

Then there is an attachment which is this:

Does this mean anything to you? Are you able to intrepret the problem from

If this applies to aol.com users only, it's likely to mean that either
aol.com or
comcast.net has decided to block messages going in that direction between
the two, after seeing spammers use that link. You should be able to ask
comcast.net if it's them, and ask them to take over the problem. Asking
aol.com
is now harder, but see if you have a friend not at comcast.net who can still
reach them. There's also the possibility that aol.com has mistaken your
messages
for spam, and decided to block just mail from your address, not from all of
comcast.net.

If it's all users, see if you've applied this change that Comcast has
started
requiring, but has been rather poor at telling their users about in advance:

I don't think this is a very good response to thie problem.
If KC was able to send to his AOL contacts on his non Vista mail
program with the same ISP, it seems to me that the problem is the mail
program and not his ISP or AOL
The only thing that he changed was his email program with his new O/S

Email is a universal commodity that uses standard protocols.
All email programs use the same standard protocols or else
they wouldn't be interoperable.

Two events that happen one after the other need not be related.

Just let the experts deal with issues they are familiar with.
