Going back to Win XP?
If I decide to go back to using XP Pro from Vista Home Pro will there be any
problems with Outlook Express? I know I had to convert my OE data/contacts
to work with Windows Mail and I'm just wondering what I'll need to do, if
anything, going back the other way.

Thanks for your help.

Walter

For the Contacts, first export them from Windows Contacts as a CSV file.
For the messages, save them and drag the EML files into OE.

Re: Going back to Win XP?
Consider Windows Live Mail http://get.live.com. It's similar to Windows
Mail but not nearly as finished. It is to be hoped, that a new version or
at least a bug fix release will be out soon.

The problem with OE is that its folders are a proprietary compressed format
that can go bad from program crashes or just plain old bit rot.

Cheers,

Earle

Re: Going back to Win XP?
Just be aware that (especially for laptops), if the machine was built
for Vista, often there are no XP drivers available.
