Re: unable to open attachments
How do you normally send email if not via Windows Mail?
If you want to use your Comcast email address, set up a Comcast
email account in Windows Mail using these instructions:
http://help.comcast.net/content/faqt...e-6ebf83b77523
Incidentally, you piggy-backed unto someone else's thread.
It is always better to start a new message, unless continuing with
one you already started.

I get this message when I click ont the paper clip:
There was an error saving one or more of the attachments.
Please check your free disk space and try again.
I have plenty of free disk space.
I can right click on individual photes and save them, but I can't save them
as a group. I used to be able to , but not any more.

Problems in Windows Mail caused by interference from antivirus
programs are often reported incorrectly, sometimes as if they were
problems with free disk space. What if any antivirus programs do
you have, and have you ever had a Norton or McAfee antivirus
program on that computer, even a trial version?

Re: unable to open attachments
Which antivirus are you running? Some of them are not very
compatible with Windows Mail.

Re: unable to open attachments
Somehow-my little computer checked it's own 'box' to not allow attachments
in Outlook recently! I forgot to even LOOK here and thanks to you, saved
myself a lot of grief! Thank you!

Re: unable to open attachments
I have McAfee antivirus, which is part of the services our cable company
provides. Should we use something different???

Re: unable to open attachments
McAfee antivirus is among the top three troublemakers for Windows Mail.
Sometimes it takes a while before symptoms start showing up.
Always follow up a McAfee uninstall by using their debris removal tool:
http://service.mcafee.com/FAQDocumen...107083&lc=1033
If you decide to replace McAfee, of the available free antivirus programs,
the ones that are compatible with Windows Mail are:
AVG free edition:
http://free.grisoft.com/doc/5390/us/frt/0?prd=aff
and
Avast free edition:
http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html
However, with either of those, during the install phase you must select
'custom' install, and then deselect the email scanning module so it won't install.
Instead of switching to a different antivirus, another option is to upgrade
to Windows Live Mail (WLM), which is more resistant to the adverse effects
of aggressive antivirus products: http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview
Even with WLM, you must disable email scanning in the antivirus,
for the reason explained here:
