Contacts Open In Windows Explorer instead of Mail

When I click on the Contacts in Windows mail, it opens the contacts in
Windows explorer instead of in Windows Mail. So I'm unable to access the
toolbar to add a new group of contacts and other options. I remember
that it used to open in Mail but now it gets redirected to its actual
location. How can we fix it?

Clicking "Contacts" in Windows Mail does open the Contacts folder using
Windows Explorer. The reason why you're unable to see the "New Contact",
"New Contact Group" buttons is due to incorrect template assigned for the
Contacts folder. Use these steps to fix the problem:

1. Open the Contacts folder
2. Right-click an empty area in the folder, and choose Customize This
Folder...
3. In the folder type drop down box, select Contacts
4. Click OK.
