Windows Mail Not able to set as default email

Need help getting windows mail to set as default. I set it as default in IE,
by using the default setting button and windows mail, but revert rite back
to not set as the default email client. It is missing from the default
program listing.

Have downloaded mailclient.reg and that didn't help.

Any other suggestions?

Did you try this:

It uses mailclients.reg rather than mailclient.reg.

If nothing else works, try upgrading to Windows Live Mail:

Which window? Did you get a confirmation message box after running the REG
file?
