Can send but can't receive email on Windows vista email
I have home premium and all of a sudden, I can't receive....I can send....I
see all the options and fixes for the opposite probelm, I have checked my
options and everything is ok - nothing has changed.
Gary - anyone out there...have a fix?

Re: Can send but can't receive email on Windows vista email
Do you get an error message when you try to receive? If so, copy it
and post it here.
Which antivirus are you running?

Not without more information.
Such problems are often caused by interference from antivirus programs, so
what if any antivirus programs do you have?
If you get any error messages when trying to send and receive, right click
on them and copy the entire error messages (often about 2 paragraphs) to
your next messages.
If the error messages don't make it clear what email provider you are
trying to use, who is it?

Re: Can send but can't receive email on Windows vista email
You didn't answer my second question, which antivirus are you running?
Whatever it is, make sure its email scanning option is turned off.

Email scanning should be turned off in any anti-virus. Also exclude EML
files from the scan. It provides no protection not provided by the regular
resident protection.
Besides that, McAfee and Norton are not compatible with Windows Mail and
Outlook Express and should be uninstalled. The latest version of Trend's
anti-virus seems to be causing problems too.
