Import former backup Windows Mail folder???

Unfortunately I imported a backup folder for my email (.dbx) files without
exporting the existing folder which I was going to replace from another pc.
The original folder contained recent email files.I have done numerous
searches but alas no avail to a former location for my Windows Mail original
folder. I have Windows Vista - Home Premium and the former email folder was
the original folder with a new PC (Dell Inspiron 530). Any suggestions.

Windows Mail doesn't use .dbx files for any purpose except importing
messages from Outlook Express. Instead, it stores each email message
in a separate .eml file, with a separate index file containing some
information
about the messages.

How did you import a DBX file into WinMail?

Hi: Thanks for the 2 replies. I found my lost email folders by doing a
search on inbox, drafts and etc. Before that I had imported my email folders
from Windows XP. Then I changed the location of my backup (maintenance) to a
location in the 'C' directory. I then copied the found files into my backed
up email folders on the 'C' drive. Now I am thinking I should have left the
original Windows Vista maintenance location alone instead of changing to my
location on the 'C' drive?

You have not desctibed anything that could possibly import a DBX file into
Windows Mail.
If you used Outlook Express on the old computer, see
