We are still not able to read or save an email attachment. We have shut down
virus scanning. We have follwed all posted suggestions for Vista settings. We
can send an attachment but can't read picture, video or even text
attachments. Saving to disk says no room yadda yadda

Vista Ultimate fresh OEM install - Windows email set from scratch no
imported accounts no imported identities

Some antivirus programs still mess with attachments even when scanning
is turned off. As a test, completely uninstall your antivirus program (probably
one of the bad ones, McAfee or Norton), and try it again.
