Please copy and paste the entire, unedited error message that you receive
when trying to send mail.

Re: unable to send email
Steve
Thank you for trying to help me. I do not know how to copy and paste - but I
will retype the message:
Unknown error has occured. Subject 'test', Account: POP3.icu.net', server:
'smpt.icu.net', protocol: SMTP, server response: 421 cannot connect to SMTP
server 65.38.20.34 (65.38.20.34:25), connect error 10060', port: 25, secure
(SSL): no, server error: 421, error number : 0X800CCC67
The server I pay every month is a small company www.icu.net. Most of the
time we are on a houseboat, in a marina, and go through their server to send
and receive mail. I then change my outgoing server to SMTP.sbcglobal.net.
We have done this for over a year without difficulty. Trouble started last
week, and we cannot get our provider to return our calls. We own our
business, have our own domain, and do not really want to change email address
as has been suggested by others.
Thanks again for any suggestions.

Go to Tools>accounts>select the account>properties>server tab, and change
smpt.icu.net to the correct setting of smtp.icu.net

Re: unable to send email
This shows the fallacy of trusting the OP's hand-typed copy of the
error message. The OP is actually using the correct server name
'smtp.icu.net', as evidenced by the IP address in the error message.
Had the OP actually used 'smpt.icu.net', the error would have been
"No such host."

Re: unable to send email
Your retype of the error message is inaccurate and contains typos.
To copy and paste: right-click on the error message, select copy,
go to the message compose window where you are composing the
reply, right-click at the spot where you want the copy of the error
message to appear, select paste.
The basic problem you are having is that when using port 25 SMTP,
you must use the SMTP server belonging to the connection provider.
You mentioned smtp.sbcglobal.net. Do you have an account with
SBC, now called AT&T? If so, we can set you up with that SMTP server
so that it can be used anywhere. There is no need to change your email
address. Not sure why you'd want an account with ICU if you have an
account with SBC/AT&T.

I got that part, and he does need an alternate connection provider
when away from home. But being away from home does not preclude
the OP from using the AT&T SMTP server which utilizes port 465, and is
therefore immune from port 25 blocking.
