I'd like to add a button on the toolbar what makes it easy to send
spam complaints, by addressing a new message to the proper
abuse address and copies all the headers of the message that
was open when this button was clicked into the new message.

It should then wait for the user to enter a complaint and to check
if this looks like a reasonable abuse address, instead of a spammer's
own address or an address in a country where the usual language
is not English.

This should help more people complain to Google Groups, which
tends to help them finally decide to do something.

Re: Tell me your top issues--
I'm sure the OP has a good reason for requesting our input.
All I'm saying is that if we are going to the trouble of writing up
and submitting our input, someone ought to compile it into a
public list. If nothing else, it is something we could link to when
some day in the future someone asks, just how bad was WM? :-)

Re: Tell me your top issues--
Have you ever investigated how SpamCop does this?
I've been an active member for many years, and I use them to
report any spam that manages to slip through both my ISP's filter
and my mail client's spam filter.
Anyway, they have an option to "Show technical details".
The amount of code it requires to find the true origin of a spam
email is amazing. There is no way all of that could be added to
a simple client like Windows Mail.

Re: Tell me your top issues--
I'd be satisfied with a method that assumes that the X-Complaints-To:
and Complaints-To: header lines contain the correct address to send
complaints to. I get little spam by email; it's mostly in newsgroups,
so I'm less concerned with how to report email spam.
