Synchronising Folders

How do I synhronise folder list with imap server?

Header download for the '[Google Mail]' folder did not complete. Could not
select '[Google Mail]' on the IMAP server. You might try refreshing your
folder list to synchronize with the IMAP server. Account:
'imap.googlemail.com', Server: 'imap.googlemail.com', Protocol: IMAP, Server
Response: 'Unknown Mailbox: [Google Mail] (Failure)', Port: 993,

This newsgroup is short on IMAP experts. I may have seen a solution to
a similar problem posted for someone's similar problem a few days ago,
so it's worth looking at other people's messages that mention IMAP
folder names that contain the [ and ] characters.

If that doesn't help. but you have access to some other newsgroups server,
check if it carries newsgroup:

comp.mail.imap

The name of that newsgroup suggests that it's more likely to attract IMAP
experts, but also that you should mention that you're using Windows Mail
under Vista when you ask your question there.

Try this: Right click your google mail folder, click on 'synchronization
settings' and then choose 'don't synchronize'. That should sort out the
problem.
