It remains to be seen whether your problem is exactly the same.
Please post your complete error message, like "Don Botto" did below.
Right-click on the error message, copy, then paste it into a reply here.
We can't do much troubleshooting without that error message.

Re: cannot send email
"Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection" is almost
always caused by interference from a security program. OneCare
doesn't usually cause this problem, but I can't rule it out. Did you
ever have a different antivirus installed on that computer? Both
McAfee and Norton tend to leave a lot of problematic crud behind.
Your best bet is to upgrade to the newer Windows Live Mail program,
because it is less prone to suffering bad effects from intrusive
security software:
