Re: no automatic recipient addresses
That has nothing to do with the auto-complete function.
Auto-complete means you start typing a name or email address on
the To line, and the email program shows you all the matches it
knows about. The number of matches gets smaller as you type more.

You're talking about something different that happens after you
click on Send.

Re: no automatic recipient addresses

btw, you can also create a group contact in the contacts folder, ie.
friends, and send to all the people in the group by typing the name of
the group in the To: line.

Re: no automatic recipient addresses
The only reasonable solution I've detected, short of changing my mailing
sub-system, is to type the name I want in the TO or CC list in the FIND
Section that pops up when you select TO. I don't know what specs MS used to
"upgrade" the mail to vista but they certainly were short-sighted and
non-user-friendly after XP

Re: no automatic recipient addresses
I fully agree. Although this is now quite an old thread, and having just
upgraded to a new laptop with Vista pre-loaded, this lack of functionality
with my contact addresses, previously a norm in Outlook Express, is a pain.
Do we know if these messages are read by the Microsoft boffins and if they
are addressing the issue?
