Vista Window Mail so slow in verifying recipients

When I got a new laptop that has Vista on it I noticed that with the new
windows mail program that it is so slow in verifying or recognizing the
recipients names that I type into the to, copy or blind copy line. A little
blue circle will pop up as it thinks or looks for the person's email address.

Is there anything that can be done to make this faster? I never had to wait
like this with XP's Outlook Express on my previous laptop.

okay I looked and have over 4,000 names in my address book so I will try to
delete a lot of them. I wish Windows mail didn't automatically put everyone
that i email or that emails me into my windows contacts. do you know of a
way to keep this from happening automatically?

Go to Tools, Options, Send, uncheck "Automatically put people..."
