Never had a problem with Windows Mail unitl today. Been receiving and
sending e.mails everyday since I set it up back in June of last year. Now I
get "An unknown error has occurred. Account: 'mail.bellsouth.net', Server:
'mail.bellsouth.net', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error
Number: 0x80004005" message. Can't delete or receive e.mails.
Which antivirus are you running? Some of them are not compatible
with Windows Mail, and over time, the account information gets corrupted.

That's what I figured.
Windows Mail is not compatible with most McAfee and Norton
antivirus programs. As a test, uninstall your Norton program, then
reboot, and test Windows Mail again. If there is improvement,
download and install a more compatible antivirus like:
AVG free edition: http://free.grisoft.com/doc/5390/us/frt/0?prd=aff
or
Avast free edition: http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html
With either of those, during the install phase you must select custom
install, and then deselect the email scanning option.

Thanks man. I tried it. Logged into my web mail and deleted the messages
that were there. I went back to Windows Mail and it sorta let me erase some
e.mails but it's still not working and it's still giving the same message.
Help!
