A day or two after mails being permanently deleted from the delete folder,
they reappear in the inbox again, sometimes with absurd time marking (like
8/12/1932). What happened and what can I do?

What if any antivirus programs do you have? Some of them cause assorted
problems in Windows Mail, although seldom immediately.
