Cant send mail on Windows mail via yahoo

just got a new laptop. my service provider is Yahoo. I cant send or receive
emails. this is the message

Subject 'test', Account: 'Windows Mail', Server: 'smtp.mail.yahoo.co.uk',
Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '250 8BITMIME', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): Yes,
Server Error: 250, Error Number: 0x800CCC7D

any thoughts would be appreciated

i am having the same issue trying to set up windows mail through yahoo pop
account. help?

In order to diagnose the problem, we would need to see the
complete error message. I assume you are not talking about a
free Yahoo account, which would only have webmail access.

Got in working in the end up.

i believe this applies for yahoo users

Below is the info under windows
mail/tools/internetaccounts/myaccount/properties/servers

My Incoming Mail server is a POP3 server

Incoming mail (POP3) - pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk

Outgoing mail (SMTP) - smtp.mail.yahoo.co.uk

Please also select that your outgoing mail server requires authentication

Not with the free account.
But yes, with the Plus! account... $20/yr.. I believe.
