windows mail/vista
On the start page only windows mail shows there is no email sign as appears
on the other users start page and I have no way to enter new contacts.
Windows mail is set as my default. Sending and receiving mail works ok

Lincoln actually got it right but was way ahead of his time when he said,
"You can have some of you computer working all of the time and all of your
computer working some of the time but..." It was he that said that, wasn't
it?

Re: windows mail/vista
In the bottom left of my vista screen, is a multi colored sphere "the start
button" that opens a window with programs on the left and selections like
music, control panel etc on the right. In the top left is an icon that says
windows mail. I click this and a windows mail screen opens. in the tool bar
is a Contacts button. I click this and go to the contacts screen but do not
get the contacts tool bar. It seems to be the music toolbar. There are no
buttons on this tool bar to let me create new contacts or other selections
that should be on the contacts tool bar.

There are two other users on this system and they work fine. Hope this is
clear.

Open your Contacts folder from the toolbar button> right click a blank area
of the file>select customise this folder>from the drop down menu select
Contacts.

Also FYI, you can put a shortcut Icon for Windows Mail on to your desktop,
by right clicking WM in the Start menu>programs>send to desktop (create
shortcut).
You can also then drag that Icon to the Quick Start menu, next to the start
button.

Please to hear that you enjoy apple pie and ice cream, but please explain

Re: windows mail/vista
I can not explain only relay what happens. In windows mail screen, click
contacts button. goes to contacts screen. (was music screen before I changed
it) A right or left click on the toolbar in an empty space does nothing.
File has NEW and CLOSE lit up. Edit has SELECT ALL and INVERT SELECTION lit
up. View has a lot of things lit up including CUSTOMIZE THIS FOLDER.

Thanks, you did explain it :-)

I never said for you to right or left click on the "toolbar" in an empty
space.

I said:

Open your Contacts folder from the toolbar button> right click a blank area
of the "file">select customise this folder>from the drop down menu select
Contacts.
Thanks for the update.
