As the error message indicates, your settings may be sending an invalid
command to the server. Go to Tools, Accounts, select the Talktalk account,
Properties, Servers. Make sure that "Log on using Secure Password
Authentication" is not checked.
If that was not the problem, which antivirus are you running?
