Vista mail not showing icons

I use Vista email. When I receive email from some sender many times the
pictures they send will not show. All I receive is an outline of a box with
an X in one of the upper corners.
2.
I am connecting to Outlook Web Access. I just set it up per the
instrcutions that my company gave me. I am using Vista email as my personel
and adding this account for my company email. I work from my home. When I
create a new email I can access the To:, the CC: and the subject line but
cannot access the message box of the new email. This area is outlined with 4
lines that create a box with an x in the upper right hand corner.

I have Vista email, Windows, a HP computer which I just purchased before
Christmas. Can you help?

1. Tools, Options, Security, uncheck "Do not allow attachments..."
and uncheck "Block images..."

2. The server administrator in charge of your employer's Exchange server
is derelict in his duties in that the server should have been patched for
Vista clients at least 12 months ago. Show him these articles:

Thanks Gary, but both of those things I have done and I still do not get
images.
