To keep it simple when I open Windoes Mail and try to open the file menu,
tools menu, help menu, view menu etc. it freezes. I haven't used it before

Re: Windows Mail not working (freezing)
You Have to set it up. You do this through "Tools>Accounts". Hope this
helps you get on the way.

Re: Windows Mail not working (freezing)
Hard to say what could be causing it. Possibly some incompatible
third party security program. Windows Mail is not compatible with
most McAfee and Norton security programs. Those will need to be
uninstalled, NOT just disabled.
Another option is to upgrade to the new and improved Windows
Live Mail program: http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview

Re: Windows Mail not working (freezing)
What if any antivirus programs do you have? Some of them cause assorted
problems in Windows Mail, although seldom immediately.

Re: Windows Mail not working (freezing)
Try setting in up while in safe mode.

RE: Windows Mail not working (freezing)
OK
I rebooted the computer and it now works,
I have Trend as my antivirus program so if it freezes in the future, is this
the most likely cause?
Thanks Eveyone.

Re: Windows Mail not working (freezing)
A recent version of the Trend antivirus program (details not available)
is known to cause assorted problems in Windows Mail, so it would
seem likely to be the cause.
