Google Maps message

Hello folks:
Perhaps you good people can give me an answer to a problem related to Google
Maps and windows mail. I recently downloaded Google Maps from their web page
(big mistake) and immediately thereafter when I went to my e-mail inbox I got
the following message "The Google Maps API key used on this web site was
registered for a different web sit. You can generate a new key for this web
site at http://code.google.com/apis/maps/." After clearing this notice I got
a second screen saying "error in scripts on this page" with the 'continue
running scripts; yes/no' option. I uninstalled Google Maps but I keep getting
the same message. To make matters worse, I find that a number of e-mail
attachments will not open. I went to the link provided and it is only anoher
garbage promo page extolling all the wonderful gizmos they have to offer
(which probably won't function either) but no solution. I went to Google's
forum and the answer I get from their administrator is that "it doesn't make
sense". (wow! How enlightening!) Since the message relates to Google Maps,
and since the problem only came up after I downloaded their program, I can
best describe their answer as a cop-out. So, before everything related to
Google joins the long list of other apps that I have gotten rid of because
they have no answers to their compatibility problems with Vista I thought I'd
better go to this forum. I should have come here in the first place. If
anyone has a solution, please let me know so I can pass the info on to Google
before I dump them totally.

I haven't heard of Google Maps causing problems in Windows Mail,
but the Google Toolbar does.

Thanks for the replies folks. I dumped all the google applications and
searched every nook and cranny of of my files to eliminate all references to
google and lo and behold the problem has gone away. My ISP uses google as
their search engine so I can quite easily do away with their toolbar and all
the other bells and whistles that it contains. Once again...much obliged
