2 mail questions.
hello, looking for help with my new email program Windows Mail, been looking
for the correct way of displaying all my email addresses on the left payne
underneath - the Local Folders, inbox, sent, drafts etc.. instead of going up
to the toolbar and going through that procedure looking for the correct
addresses for an email.
I just want it the way i had it on my old pc when i used outlook express.
Also currently when emailing - the persons name and email address both
appear in the 'to' box, which i cant seem to fix to just the persons real
name. Both of these question are real headscratchers for me and have spent
many hours on them already.
Any help on this is greatly welcome.
Thankyou.
Sandy

The contacts view that you describe as been removed from Windows Mail.
A work around is to open your contacts folder and resize it and WM so that
they both show on your monitor, not a good method, I agree, but no other
way.
That view of addresses in the To: line is by design, but it does not show
like that on your recipients mail list.
Sorry I do not have any better news for you :-(

BTW you can click on the word To: in a new mail and it will open your
contacts for you.

I don't think there is a way to put the contacts list there in Windows
Mail.
One easy way to get to the contacts list is to start a new message,
then click on Tools, then Select Recipients in the new message
window.
Outlook Express hides the address after the name, but does not
remove it; Windows Mail won't do either. This doesn't affect
whether the addressee sees the address - his or her software,
not yours, controls whether it is hidden. If there was a way to
totally remove the address, the mail wouldn't arrive then.
