Setting up account in Windows mail.
Hello
I have a new laptop which runs windows vista home premium. It comes with
Windows mail. I am currently using hotmail as my email account to send and
receive email. Can someone teach me how to setup an account in Windows mail?
I would like to keep using hotmail as my primary emailing account. Thanks.

You can't use Hotmail in Windows Mail. If you want to use an email
address provided by your ISP, you can do that. Your ISP will have a
"walkthrough" for setting up common email clients on its website. Use
the instructions for Outlook Express for Windows Mail.

Re: Setting up account in Windows mail.
Outlook allows Hotmail accounts. Why wouldn't Vista Mail? Here's directions
for Outlook--should be a similar process for Vista Mail.

Re: Setting up account in Windows mail.
When you attempt to set up a http account (the New account options are the
same as XP) you get a page that leads to a page that leads to a page thet
tries to make you sign up to a unrelated product to Vista (something called
Windows Live - this is immoral - if they made it mandatory, rather than
tricking people, it would be illegal under Australian law).

Now Winmail is OE V7 (though it's version is 1 as a program and 6, as vista
is Win NT 6, as its official ver number).
