can't right click on delete folder and delete all of the messages

How can I avoid having to delete messages one at a time in the delete folder,
I usually can delete all the messages at once on other computers?

This appears to be a generic problem. Normally it is possible deleting all
these entries by right click on this folde and select "empty folder deleted
messages".
But I have also discovered that sometimes this isn't possible, and messages
need to be deleted one by one.
further, you can try to compress the mail folder, which may or may not
correct some internal errors, making it possible to use the delete function
in a normal way.

Although it's labelled as for messages stuck in the Outbox, it also works in
other folders. If you don't know whether to use the 32-bit version or the
64-bit version, try the 32-bit version first. Certain common antivirus
programs, such as most of those from Norton or McAfee, or a recent one
from Trend, tend to cause such problems, although seldom immediately,
so if you have such a program, remember where to find the fix - you are
likely to need it again.
