Windows Mail comes with the default language for spelling checks
partly set to English, but not enough to work. To fix this, click on
Tools, then Options, then Spelling, then the triangle to the right of
English, then some other language, then Apply, then the triangle
again, then English, then Apply again, then OK.

Re: Spell check error
Greetings,
I hadn't installed an internet service since I had gotten back from
California where I was there on a job assignment. Finally, last thursday I
finally chose an internet provider and I thought everything would be working
just fine.
Unfortunately, come to find out I can't reply or send emails if I ask for
spell check. Can you or someone let me know what the problem might be? Or, if
someone knows exactly what's going on, can you or yours send me a response? I
would like this matter to be resolved soon.
I thank you or yours in advance for your immediate assistant on the really
important situation.
Thank you,
Ruben M. Molina

Re: Spell check error
"Can't reply or send" is not very descriptive.
Can you describe what happens? Any error message? If so,
exactly what does it say?

McAfee antivirus is among the top three troublemakers for Windows Mail.
Sometimes it takes a while before symptoms start showing up.
The only way you can prove or disprove that McAfee is the culprit is to
uninstall it, followed by using their debris removal tool:
http://service.mcafee.com/FAQDocumen...107083&lc=1033
If you decide to replace McAfee, there are free antivirus programs
which are more compatible with Windows Mail:
AVG free edition:
http://free.grisoft.com/doc/5390/us/frt/0?prd=aff
and
Avast free edition:
http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html
However, with either of those, during the install phase you must select
'custom' install, and then deselect the email scanning module so it won't
install.
Instead of switching to a different antivirus, another option is to upgrade
to Windows Live Mail (WLM), which is more resistant to the adverse effects
of aggressive antivirus products: http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview
Even with WLM, you must disable email scanning in the antivirus,
for the reason explained here:
