Address Book
I have just moved my files from XP to Vista on a Laptop.
The address book has moved into something now called contacts.
When I started an email on XP, I only had to type the first letter or two of
the email addess and Outlook would find the full email address.
In this new Vista mail it does not.
I cannot find how to link it to the new contact list.
[and why is the new product worse than the old one?]
I would appreciate any help.
Best regards,
Jim

Re: Address Book
The issue of addresses not being auto-completed has been widely
discussed here the past few weeks.
Some say auto-completing starts working if you have sent or
received at least one email for that address. Others say the
feature comes and goes. Then there's another wrinkle where
auto-complete functions on addresses you've sent to but aren't
in your Contacts list, and there's no way to purge a mistyped
address from the 'phantom' auto-completion list.
It's really flaky.
