brink, robert & gary
Have now got somewhat better news. Have now installed Live Mail again and
this time the mail icon has changed to the Live Mail instead of having one of
the old icons and one of the new. I can edit and add contacts now which is
excellent, but I have to do it through the Live Mail page. If I go into
programs, user name and then Contacts folder I still cannot do any editing
whatsoever this way. Also my NEW Live Mail contacts only appear in Live Mail
and are not reflected in the Contacts list when accessed through programs,
user name, Contacts.
Any help with this now please.
Thanks - Susan.

Re: brink, robert & gary
I'm assuming that by Live Mail you mean Windows Live Mail (WLM).
Microsoft has several email programs with confusingly similar names.
WLM Contacts are not integrated with Vista's Windows Contacts.
The two are entirely separate, although you can manually import/export
contacts between the two.

Re: brink, robert & gary
Hello Gary,
Yes, Gary I am on Windows Live Mail. Thanks for letting me know that WLM
Contacts are not integrated with Vista's Windows Contacts. Will I now be able
to install the Norton again, hopefully without further problems? I have paid
for the Norton and would like to install it again, without problems, if
possible.
Thanks - Susan.

Re: brink, robert & gary
No guarantees, but if you do reinstall Norton, be sure to unselect
the option that does email scanning.
