Windows mail problem
I am having a small problem with my Windows Mail on my new Vista machine.
I have several email accounts. All of them are working properly except for
the most important one, my work email.
I know I have all the setting correct because I have quadruple checked
everything. It is set up exactly the same as it is on my other pc.
It will download my mail from the mail server just fine, but it will not
send anything out.
It eventually times out and give me this error message:
Subject 'test', Account: 'Work', Server: 'mail.local18mo.org', Protocol:
SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC19
Is there anyone out there with some advice? I must be overlooking something,
but I sure cannot figure it out, and it has been days. I have quadruple
checked everything.......

Replace the SMTP server for work with the SMTP server for your Internet
connection. They are blocking you from sending mail on their connection from
a foreign (to them) SMTP server.
The POP3 server will remain the same, just change the SMTP server on that
one account to your ISP's SMTP server name.

i could not send email with vista until my server told me to change my smtp
out port number to 465 and my in pop3 port to 995. i did and now i can send
email. i hope this works for you.
