windows mail

the connection for the mail is set to NOT dial up but it still does anyway
can someone please help me with this?

Try opening an Internet Explorer page, click on Tools | Internet Options,
Connections tab, look for dial-up connection, "Never dial..."

Go to Tools>accounts>select your account>properties>connection tab>remove
the check mark from 'always connect using' WM will then use any available
connection.
