windows mail
hi all, ive just started using windows mail, i can send ok but cant receive
any ideas ?

Lucky you

windows mail does not work if you have any number of friends

before you get it working and make your mail unusable in other older email
programs - because they cannot inport it yet

download anything else and use it until windows mail works after a major
rewrite.

Too bad but all other mail programs at least use current working technologies.

You need to ask your email provider (who is probably also your
internet provider) for their instructions for setting up to use their
email servers. If they haven't written instructions for Windows
Mail yet, use their instructions for Outlook Express but under
Windows Mail instead. The instructions are probably somewhere
on their web site. Or, you could tell us who your email provider
is and see if anyone here already knows where to find the
instructions.

Microsoft probably isn't going to do a major rewrite. They've started
putting most of their email effort into a new program, Windows Live
Mail:
