Cannot permanently delete email address in Windows Mail

When I try to replace an old email address with a new address, the new
address shows up in the Contacts section just fine. However, when I
call up the new address the old address always pops up in the address
line of the email. Any help? Tx

The addresses used to complete email addresses don't come from the
Contacts list, they come from a separate list of the addresses you sent
the last 29 messages to. It's in the registry, encoded instead of in plain
text, and very hard to edit. It's easier just to send 29 messages to
addresses you want to be on the list.
