Trouble sending mail

We just set up a new computer (Vista) and I set up my windows mail to use my
aol account. I have no problem receiving mail, but can't send. How can I
fix this?

Thanks Robert. After reading the links, It turns out that all I had to do
was adjust the port #. So far it seems to be working ok (crossing fingers).

Tools - Accounts - youraccount - Properties - Advanced

keep in mind that you just can't try different numbers, willy-nilly. You
need to find out what ports your email server allows or requires.

Click on Tools, then Accounts, then your email account, then Properties,
then
Advanced. Click at the end of the number you want to change, then backspace
over it, then type in the new number, then click Apply. Change the other
number the same way if you want to. Then click OK and then Close.
