windows messenger vs.windows live messenger

i'm having a real problem with my compy at the moment. i have had windows
live messenger for a while, but now have windows messenger running along side
it in my boyfriends name.

it now means that i cannot talk to him when i am signed in, because it
bounces straight back, and when i am logged on to my computer, he cannnot log
on his messenger at all!

i have deleted it from the computer and the recyle bin, and it is no longer
on my screens or in any of my folders, yet it still is there???? it's like
ghost....


please, anyone, how do i get rid of it?

shall i delete it all and the re-install windows live messenger? or what?

Hi Sass,

Yeah, you can only have the same Windows Live ID account for Messenger
logged in on one instance only at a time. You can solve this by getting
a Live ID account of your own and sign in using it instead of your
boyfriends. Double check which account Messenger is using when it is
signing in.
