SLOOOWW forwarding from newsgroups
I'm using Windows Mail in Vista for newsgroup reading. When I forward a
message to someone via email, it takes approximately 2 1/2 minutes for the
message pane to fully engage so I can put an email address in the To: slot.

Replying to a message within the newsgroup doesn't have this problem.
Virtually instantaneous.

Replying to an email is instantaneous.

Forwarding an email is instantaneous.

Only forwarding from a newsgroup is slow. But it's AMAZINGLY slow. 2:37 on
my last attempt. (Once the forwarding pane is fully engaged and I can put
the address in, it operates just as fast as the others.)

I'm using Avast! for antivirus, btw.

I saw that behavior when I was sharing, syncing, offlining, and/or
redirecting my Contacts folder. Are your doing any of those, or something
similar, with your Contacts folder?

Could be. I use Windows Mail for newsgroups, but Outlook for email. If
that's it, is there something to be done about it?
