Problems receiving and sending emails

It should be pop.gmail.com at tools>accounts>your account>properties>server.

Is Gmail your internet provider? If not, the connection crosses from
one internet provider to another and such connections to port 25
are oftem blocked to cause trouble for spammers.

Note that you'll have to choose whether to connect by POP or
IMAP to know which part of the instructions to follow.
