Windows mail closing
When I close windows mail by either clicking CLOSE in file menu or just
clicking X I get the message :- Windows mail has stopped working. A problem
has caused the program to stop working correctly. Please close the program. I
know why it has stopped. I caused it using a correct method.
When I next go into mail I get the message :- Windows mail did not shut down
correctly. The last time you ran windows mail it did not exit correctly. In
case this was due to a problem with the last message you were viewing, the
message is not being shown. To view this message anyway click Here. How can I
avoid this nonsense and deal with my, more important printer compatibility
problems.

What antivirus programs do you have? Some of them cause assorted problems
in Windows Mail, although seldom immediately.

Re: Windows mail closing
Thanks for your comments Robert. I use Norton 360 and have read many good but
also many bad reports about it. However, I have nothing to lose by disabling
my virus protection temporarily and seeing what happens. Thanks again

Re: Windows mail closing
Hi, I tried disabling Norton virus protection but did not resolve the
problem. Back to the drawing board !

Re: Windows mail closing
Just disabling it does not stop all the problems it causes. You have to
uninstall it.
