Folders disappeared from inbox
In the past when I've had this problem, I restarted my laptop and the
folders re-appeared. Unfortunately, I've not been able to get them to come
back this time. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

RE: Folders disappeared from inbox
Hello -- update:
Have tried the following with no luck:
Downloaded updates, downloaded fix noted in posts but rec'd reply -- does
not apply to system. Folder list is checked in view.
When I try to 'find' a folder, the folder appears when I browse but it does
not appear as a sub-folder in the in box. As a result, cannot file mail in
these folders nor can they be viewed in the normal fashion.
Hope someone can help.
Thank you in advance.

Re: Folders disappeared from inbox
Which antivirus are you running? If McAfee or Norton, uninstall those
(as a test), to see if that corrects the problem. You can always
reinstall your antivirus if it makes no difference.

Sharon,
Where does the folder appear at?
Can you drag the folder(s) from where it appears and drop it into the
Inbox to make it a subfolder again?

Re: Folders disappeared from inbox
Hello Gary -- thank you for your reply. I have McAfee on my laptop Tthis is
what my Dell came with when it was purchased earlier this year).
I'll uninstall the McAfee & give it a try as you've suggested.
Thanks again.

Re: Folders disappeared from inbox
Hello Brink -- thank you for your response. The folders re-appeared after I
removed McAfee.
(The folders appeared when I right clicked on the inbox and selected 'find'.
I'll keep your suggestion as a back-up in case I need it for next time).
Thank you again,
Regards,
SharonR

Re: Folders disappeared from inbox
Gary doesn't seem to be posting at this hour.
I recommend avast! or AVG, either one with a custom install to tell it
to leave out the part that scans email.

Re: Folders disappeared from inbox
I use AVG including the email scanner without a problem.
