Undeletable email, and I get "unknown error has occurred"

This undeletable email is in my outbox, blocking all my other messages trying
to go out, so until this is fixed, I can't send email through normal
channels. What to do?

Microsoft has a fix for that:

"Messages may be stuck in the Outbox when you use Windows Mail on a
computer that is running Windows Vista"

That page offers two download options. Unless you know for sure
you have 64-bit Vista, use the 32-bit option.

Hi Dan,

This will fix your problem:
Read the "First" section in this tutorial about antivirus programs to
help prevent this from happening again, then install the KB941090
Microsoft Update in the "Second" section to fix the stuck message
problem.

Was there a solution for this ? I have a couple of messages in my inbox,
which can't be deleted. Tells me there was an unknown error. Thanks,

Hi-
I am having the same outbox issue (a mesage is stuck and will not allow me
to send mail). I have tried to "validate" my Windows system but am not able
to complete the validation to install the fix. Any suggestions?

Help- I am getting desperate!

Hi Sue,

If your the same Sue at Vistax64.com, then I already sent you a PM for
this. If not, then here you go.

This will fix your problem:
Read the "First" section in this tutorial about antivirus programs to
