Windows Mail
I have a new computer with Windows Vista Home Premium. I have a hotmail email
address, also gmail and yahoo mail.

When I click on an embedded link on a webpage to send an email, I get an
error message, no matter which email address I use.

I have tried to download the Windows MaIL It appears to be loaded properly
but I get a message that says hotmail.com can ot be used. or Can not connect
to POP
What am I doing wrong, and how can I use Windows Mail.

Thank you

Windows Mail comes with Vista and won't work with Hotmail. If you
found a downloadable version, it was probably intended to run under XP.
You may prefer to download and install Windows Live Mail, which
will work with Hotmail, or with a premium Yahoo account:

http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview

POP is not a valid server name. If you are trying to use it as one,
you need to ask you email provider (who is probably also your
internet provider) for instructions for setting up to use their email
servers. The instructions are probably somewhere on their web
site. Or, you could tell us who your email provider is and see if
anyone here already knows where to find the instructions.

Connecting to Yahoo requires a premium account:
