Importing from Outlook Express
On Sunday the motherboard on my old PC quit. I now have a new PC. The hard
drive from the old computer used Outlook Express on XP for email.

Vista has Windows Mail. and I would like to import messages, contacts, and
accounts from the old hard drive, which is F on the new PC.

When I go to import messages, I am asked to browse to their location.

I am unable to locate the folder where these items are stored on the F
drive. Can anyone advise?

Re: Importing from Outlook Express
This should help you with that task:

How to Import messages into Windows Mail from Outlook Express
http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Win...7994f1033.mspx

At the bottom of the webpage there's a link to another "how-to" procedure to
transfer the contact info (address book).

Re: Importing from Outlook Express
Normally these are *.dbx files. They are Located in the OE store. To find it on your F drive I suggest that you do a search for the *.dbx files after enabling the Show all Files .on the F drive

Hope this helps.
