Migrating OE Mail to Windows Mail - Errors
I've read dozens of threads about this, but can't get this transfer to work. I have all the DBX files in a folder on the desktop, including the folders.dbx file, and the read only attribute is off. I've successfully downloaded email settings and contacts into this Windows Mail user account. But when it comes to importing messages, it allows me to browse to the folder on the desktop, single-click, then asks me to select folders. Everything appears to be there -- several years worth! I select all, then I get "Not all of the messages from the folder "Inbox" could be imported. An error has occurred." Then it says "Your messages were imported in Microsoft Outlook Express 6 format." (Not sure what that means.) I click Finish, and my Local Folders show a set of imported folders: Deleted Items (empty), Drafts (1 message), and Inbox (empty). All other folders and there messages are nowhere to be found. Am I missing a step here? I even bought an Easy Transfer Cable because it sounded like that would make the transfer seemlessly, but nothing works! Thanks for any help!
