Do you mean in the Outbox?

If so, download and install this fix with Windows Mail not running:

It also works for messages stuck in other folders. If you don't
know whether to use the 32-bit version or the 64-bit version,
try the 32-bit version first.

Hello, I have the same problem a message stuck in my outbox and I cant send
anything. I tried this but it didnt work, a window pops up saying deleting
mail but nothing happens. Have I done anything wrong?

Did you try both the 32-bit and the 64-bit versions of the fix? If so, see
if
the oldest message in the Outbox still won't delete.

If that's not enough, what if any antivirus programs do you have?

Yes unfortunatly, I have tried both. I have macAfee installed but considering
changing to AGV or similar anyway - could that solve it? It has worked fine
for a few weeks prior btw.

Windows Mail often behaves erratically when interfered with by
some antivirus programs. Windows Mail is not compatible with
most McAfee and Norton security programs. Those will need to
be uninstalled, not just disabled.

After uninstalling your non-compatible antivirus, download
and install a more compatible antivirus like the free Avast:

Even compatible antivirus programs will need to have their

McAfee is one of the programs where most versions cause such problems,
although seldom immediately. You need to uninstall it, not just disable
it, to stop it from causing problems.

I'm not familiar with AGV but have heard a little about AVG. I use
avast!, after a custom install that told it to leave out the part that scans
email, since scanning email oftem interferes with Windows Mail.

thanks for all your relplies but well, getting a bit desperate now. I have
uninstalled agv, installed avast! and turned off email scanning. I then
deleted my account from windows mail, closed the program and imorted my
account again. no joy.
I really dont want to uninstall the program and if i have to how can I be
sure to keep all my mails and settings?
