Cant Send Mail
This may be a simple one, but I filled out my contacts "windows contacts" ,
now I would like to send from there using my comcast account. I followed all
instructions, but mail will not send and I receive an error
The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'wewewewewewewff', Account:
'Wicked Mail', Server: 'comcast.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL):
No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E
Am I just doing somthing wrong?

Re: Cant Send Mail
The server name is incorrect. The outgoing server should be named
smtp.comcast.net instead of just "comcast.net". Also, it is better to use
port 587, with authentication. For a guide to the correct settings see:

Re: Cant Send Mail
The server name appears to be incorrect...

What are the Comcast Mail Server Settings?
The Comcast Mail server settings are as follows:
Outgoing mail (SMTP): smtp.comcast.net
Incoming mail (POP3): mail.comcast.net

Re: Cant Send Mail
Ok, That helped, I changed and fixed all. My test email sent fine. I then
tried an email to a few recipients, ander BCC and received this error. I hid
email listed. I am still searching through comcast help also.
The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be
correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this
problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the
"I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining
the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider.
The rejected e-mail address was, '**********@COMCAST.NET'. Subject 'Wicked
Holiday Specials!', Account: 'Wicked Mail', Server: 'smtp.comcast.net',
Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '550 5.1.1 Not our Customer', Port: 587,
Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 550, Error Number: 0x800CCC79

Re: Cant Send Mail
Go to Tools, Accounts, select the account, Properties,
Servers, make sure that "My server requires authentication" is
checked. If it was already checked: Can you send to other recipients?
Perhaps this one recipient changed his email address.
