Under 'Tools|Options|Other' is the "Make Outlook the default program for
e-mail, contacts, and calendar" checkbox checked? In IE7 under
'Tools|Internet Options|Programs', is Microsoft Office Outlook selected for
E-mail? You might also try starting Outlook by going to 'Start|Run',
entering:
Outlook /checkclient
Which causes Outlook to prompt for default manager of e-mail, news, and
contacts
