Changing Windows Mail store in Vista
Hi.

I would like to change the location of where Windows Mail stores my mail
(ie: inbox, sent items, etc) ... from where ever the default is to a location
on a second hard drive in my machine ... not as a backup copy but as the
default storage location.

How would I do that?

Thanks.

RE: Changing Windows Mail store in Vista
I used outlook express and have a specific folder to maintain my e-mails in.
When I try to change it to that folder, it will not accept it since the
folder is not empty. This is on a new system and I migrated my files/programs
over from my old system. OE will not load and I cannot export to windows
mail. How can I have windows mail bring in my mail from OE?

You can't load Outlook Express in Vista.

See www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx#wm

OE doesn't exist in Vista and the file structure is different. I don't know
what made you think you could do what you are trying to do.

Re: Changing Windows Mail store in Vista
Finaly it works : but after doing this you have to not only leave Windows
mail but also eventually kill any win "winmail.exe" process that's
remaining(alt ctrl suppr + task manager + process) . It was the problem
Thanks
