Windows Mail Error Message

When I open Windows Mail (where I have my newsgroups) I get the following
error dialog:

"The host 'pop3.live.com' could not be found. Please verify that you have
entered the server name correctly.
Account: 'POP3', Server: 'pop3.live.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 995,
Secure(SSL): Yes, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D"

If this the Newsgroup for Windows Mail? If so, what is this error about?
I use Windows Vista Ultimate.
