Limiting individual contacts
My contacts are organized into various folders. When I want to send mail to
multiple addresses, I hit the TO: button to bring up the Contact List, but
every individual contact is listed from every individual folder. Is there a
way that individual contacts form one specific folder can be listed?

In OE Express, there was a separate box to choose what folder to view.

Re: Limiting individual contacts
Try right clicking in the window and go to Group by and then you can
probably segregate them then.

No, you cannot.

Re: Limiting individual contacts
Thank you, that worked. I get a few newsletters from magazines. I created a
folder named Mags and dragged the news letters senders into the Mags folder.
Then on each sender in Mags folder I did what you said and marked each one's
properties to hidden. They do not now show up when I click To when composing
a new email. The Group / Folder Mags shows up, but not each contact that is
in that folder.

Re: Limiting individual contacts
I tired this too
BUT now I cannot find or bring back my 'hidden' properties contacts
How do I find them again?

There MUST be a simple and common sense way to view/choose/see ONLY specific
contact folders
when sending an email address???
That would be very dumb and useless to not have a way to do this
If you can make seperate and specific folders - there must be a way to view
them when you hit TO:
otherwise what is the use of creating all these seperate folders?
Having them all come up is useless and wrong
I miss Outlook - isn't Visat suppose to be smarter - more user friendly - so
far NOT

Re: Limiting individual contacts
If you miss Outlook, why not install it on your Vista PC?
Outlook 2003 and later work fine on Vista.
Perhaps you meant Outlook Express, a completely different program.

Windows Mail Contacts uses Groups rather than Folders.
There is a tutorial for how to use groups:
http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/69...dows-mail.html

The Groups feature in Windows Live Mail Contacts is more flexible.
Give it a try: http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview
