How to import/export windows mail rules
Hi there i figured out that i cant export my mail rules to a file in case of
having any problem with windows vista.
So what i want is keeping my rules in a file to save in my backup partition
to in case of formating my windows partition to put again THE great vista i
can impport my rules again without having to do them again.

is there anyway i can do this?

Yes. See www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx#wm The rules are stored in the
registry under the Windows Mail key.

I have already tried that. do you have another solution to import messages
from outlook express to windows mail?

i dont want to import from outlook express to vista mail i just want to save
my enormous number of mail rules of windows vista mail to insure that i dont
need to do it again.
and do you know if this solution keeps our folders too?

He hijacked the thread from your question. If you back up that and backup
the message store and database then you should have no problems.

The question was how to import RULES not messages.

If your messages won't import from the dbx files after following those
instructions, then your only recourse is to get a 3rd party program to use
to extract the messages from the dbx files.
